6 Steps to Renting New Home Leasing

6 Steps To A New Home

  1. The search begins
Register your interest and your property requirements with Peninsula Property Management Group. Then enjoy the simplicity of being notified when the ideal home becomes available. Feel free to browse our listings from the convenience of your office or home.

  2. Viewing your future home
Acknowledging our prospective tenants’ needs, we endeavour to show properties at flexible times to suit you and fit in with work or other commitments. That’s why at PPMG we hold three open for inspections per week, including one on a Saturday. Give us a call to find the open time that suits you best.

  3. The application process
Once you've identified and viewed a suitable property, we ask that all occupants over 18 fill in our Application Form, which can be downloaded from our website or collected from one of our property viewings. Our office processes your application form within 24 hours of receipt on a business day, subject to the successful contact of all referees. Once processed, the application is referred to the landlord for final approval. We will be in touch to discuss you application!

  4. Approval & Documentation
Once your application has been approved by the Landlord, we will notify you and prepare the documentation to be signed by both parties to form the agreement. It is important that you meet with your property manager within 24 hours of approval to secure the property.

  5. Rent & Bond
It is a requirement of PPMG that one weeks’ rent be paid within 24 hours of your application being approved. The remainder of the calendar months’ rent will be due and payable on or before the commencement of the tenancy.
The Bond is also required and is payable by bank cheque or money order on or before your commencement of the tenancy. Our office has a “no bond, no keys policy” (NO EXCEPTIONS). All bond cheques must be made out to “RTBA” (Residential Tenancy Bond Authority).

  6. Congratulations!
You have now completed the steps required to move into your new home. You can collect the keys along with your detailed property condition report on the date of the commencement of your lease agreement from Peninsula Property Management Group.
